Nash Trash Tours: Talkin’ trash has never been this fun
Published: Nov 4, 2009
What’s a tour of the Music City without a little trash talking?
The Nash Trash Tours could be one of the most rowdy tours this city has ever seen. The tour hits all of the local country music attractions while adding a new dimension to the 90-minute tour: The sites are shown by the Jugg sisters who offer their witty, irreverent observations of the Music City and its country music stars.
The concept for the tour started with a few ideas jotted on a napkin. In 1997, The Jugg sisters, Sheri Lynn and Brenda Kay, put their plans to work. Donning spandex, big hair and blue eye shadow, the Jugg sisters set sail in their big, pink bus to show tour attendees a wacky time.
You don’t have to be a country music fan to enjoy the tour. The ride begins at the Farmers Market and travels throughout downtown Nashville. Along the way, you’ll see the Ryman Auditorium, the Wildhorse Saloon, historic Printers Alley and the Country Music Hall of Fame and cruise on Music Row.
Taking the tour will prove to be more than you bargained for. During the tour, the Jugg sisters tell hilarious, risqué tales of some of country music’s leading stars. The tour even makes an unusual stop: the county jail. The Juggs say it's important to know where some of the famous country stars have spent their time…behind bars.
It’s common for those aboard the pink bus to spot the very stars the tour guides talk about during the ride so be sure to bring your camera.
In keeping with Southern hospitality, the Jugg sisters offer their Fancy Cheese Hors D’oeuvres of saltine crackers and spray cheese. Small coolers are welcome to wash down the snacks with a beverage of your choosing, including beer and wine.
To book your seat on the Nash Trash Tours bus, a reservation is required by calling 615-226-7300 or 800-342-2132.
