Nashville Superspeedway: Unleash your need for speed

Feb 23, 2010

The Nashville Superspeedway satiates Tennessee’s need for speed. The motor racing complex, located nearly 30 miles outside of Nashville, features high-speed races throughout the racing season that keeps thousands in attendance.

The roar of fired up engines begin piercing the sky once April rolls around and fans start reserving their seats to watch the biggest races in the state. The track, which opened in 2001, hosts two NASCAR Nationwide Series races and a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.

The concrete oval track, 1.33 miles in length, can attract up to 50,000 racing fans during each events, with additional seats brought in for larger events, turning out a crowd of nearly 150,000.

Now in its 10th year, the races still appeal to the masses just as they did on opening day. If kids are in tow, family seating offers areas in which are alcohol and tobacco-free, but be sure to call ahead and reserve these seats as they are limited.

Among the ticket packages available, the Season Ticket Package features an all-access pass to the Saturday NASCAR events, parking and a complimentary general admission ticket for Friday practice for the June NASCAR Nationwide Series weekend among other amenities for $179 for adults and $84 for children. Single event pricing varies, but typically ranges between $35-$45 for adults and $10-$15 for children.
