Bonnaroo Music and Arts FestivalThe Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival features every June a four-day multi-stage camping festival held on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester. The festival draws thousands from all over the world to enjoy music in every genre. This year’s festival is scheduled June 10-13. Bonnaroo brings together some of the best performers in rock ‘n roll, along with dozens of artists in complementary styles such as jazz, Americana, hip-hop, electronica and just about any contemporary music imaginable. The anticipation for the event builds throughout the year, and once it arrives, the vibes can be felt throughout the entire state. The day the event begins, cars can be seen lining up outside of the exit for miles. Artists at this year’s event include Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z, Damian Marley and Nas, Tori Amos, Stevie Wonder and Tenacious D to name a few. In addition to dozens of epic performances, the festival's 100-acre entertainment village buzzes around the clock with attractions and activities. This portion of the festival includes a classic arcade, on-site cinema and beer festival. The silent disco, one of Bonnaroo’s top attractions, is just for the night owls. Slip on a pair of headphones and dance all night as a live DJ spins upbeat tunes, but keeping it quiet for those who are sleeping. A comedy club, featuring acts such as Margaret Cho, Conan O’Brien and more, theater performers and a music technology village will also be featured at the event. Also notable, Bonnaroo is one of only six festivals worldwide to win the Greener Festival’s OUTSTANDING Greener Festival Award, their highest honor, as Bonnaroo continues its expansive greening and sustainability initiatives. General admission tickets cost $234.50 each. Pre-parked, on-site RV rentals are available for rent. - by Leah M. Caudle , Nashville Reporter for HelloMetro (Click to leave a message) Leah M.
