The Stage on Broadway; free, live country music every night
Published: Feb 13, 2009
The Stage on Broadway packs the house nearly every night of week. Located in the Honkey Tonk District in downtown Nashville, The Stage is a music-venue favorite among locals and tourists. As the original home of the Roy Acuff Exhibit, it’s steeped with country music authentication.
Seven days and nights a week, guests can hear live music from up-and-coming country music stars accompanied by some of Nashville’s best musicians. A huge dance floor extends from the stage to the back of the bar.
Don’t expect to have the floor to yourself on Friday and Saturday nights; The Stage on Broadway rocks the night away at full capacity, drawing patrons from all walks of life with one thing in common: Everybody wants to have fun and get down!
A giant bar stretches from the club entrance to the back staircase. Across the dance floor, guests can order from a smaller bar that is surrounded by table and bar seating. For a bird’s eye view of the packed house, head upstairs to the balcony. Guests can also order drinks from a small bar at the top of the stairs.
The Stage boasts the most seating capacity of any bar or club on Broadway. During the day, guests under of 21 can take part in the fun. There's no cover charge at The Stage, except for special events. Smoking is prohibited.
Visit The Stage on Broadway and you never know whom you might bump into. It’s not uncommon for guest stars to make guests appearances any night of the week!
