Camino Real Mexican Restaurant

Jan 4, 2010

Camino Real Mexican Restaurant has great prices and delicious food. The staff at Camino is friendly and courteous. My family frequents this restaurant, and they love Pablo. If you're eating at Camino, give Pablo a "hello" from Hello Nashville.

There's something for everyone at Camino. Vegetarians can order veggie taco salads, delicious rice and beans, quesadillas and more -- there's even a vegetarian section on the menu. Picky children have a variety of choices like hamburgers and fries, chicken fingers or hot dogs, tacos or corn dogs.

The menu is expansive, and it includes appetizers, salads, sides, fajitas, vegetarian options, seafood, burritos, traditional meals, pork, steak, chicken, combination dinners, a la carte items and dessert. A la carte items include tacos, tamales, enchiladas, chalupas, tostadas, burritos, chimichangas and more.

If you come to Camino before 3 p.m., take advantage of the very affordable lunch menu. Most dishes are about $5, and every meal is under $7 at lunch, unless you opt for the dinner menu. Outdoor and indoor dining is available.

Start off with a delicious dip such as bean dip, cheese dip or guacamole. Share fajitas with a friend. Choose your meat -- steak, chicken, beef, shrimp, vegetarian or a combination -- and enjoy your fajitas with onion, bell pepper, tomato, rice, refried beans, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce and tortillas.

Ladies and gents with large appetites should try the Burrito California. This $9 burrito is a tortilla filled with rice, beans, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken or steak with cheese dip on top.

Happy hour includes inexpensive drinks Sunday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Do yourself a favor and try a margarita. Happy hour gets you 2-for-1 regular margaritas and $1.25 draft beer.

If you're looking for a fun and inexpensive birthday dinner or get together, Camino Real is a perfect destination. Tell them it's your birthday and wear a festive sombrero.
