Minami Japanese Restaurant: teriyaki, sushi, noodles and tempura

Jan 9, 2010

At Minami Japanese Restaurant in Brentwood, the atmosphere is relaxing and serene. You can come to watch sports or you can huddle into a more private booth for a date. Either way, you'll have Japanese food in your belly.

Visit Minami at lunchtime and enjoy the lunch specials. Bento box lunches are $8-$11 and come with soup or salad, shrimp or veggie tempura, a 3 piece California rolls and your main course. The main dishes include chicken, steak, salmon, scallops, tilapia and shrimp. Lunch specials also include sushi and sashimi combos and teriyaki meals that come with salad or soup and rice.

Dinner entrees range from $13 to $35, and to share the entrees you have to pay $5.50 to get an extra soup, salad and fried rice. The combinations for entrees are voluminous. You can have chicken, steak, salmon, tuna, mahi-mahi, shrimp, lobster tail, steak and shrimp, chicken and scallops, etc. Each entree comes with a shrimp appetizer, soup, salad, vegetables and rice.   Watch your dinner be prepared in the dining area or slide up to the sushi bar and watch your spicy tuna roll in creation. Minami has a full bar, so you can sip on your sake while you wait for your food.

The menu also includes tempura dishes and noodle dishes, which less expensive than the main entrees. Kids that are wary of Japanese dishes can order from the kids menu. Items include chicken, shrimp, steak and chicken nuggets.

Call in your order on your way home from work and pick it up. Dine in and take out available. The restaurant does not accept personal checks, but you can pay with credit, debit or cash easily.
