Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw BarVoted as one of the city’s best seafood joints, the best place to take out-of-town guests and a number of other awards, the Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar draws crowds with its views and keeps them with the delicious fare. The Tennessee River winds lazily past the huge windows of the Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar. There’s not a bad seat in the restaurant, with unobstructed views of the river offered from every corner. Conveniently located just five minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the restaurant gives you a feel that it’s just close enough and far away from the hustle and bustle. The list of appetizers features some delectable dishes, including made to order guacamole; feta olive oil dip served with grilled bread; Poblano peppers served grilled and stuffed with rotisserie chicken, queso and feta cheese topped with avocado and chips; Mexican shrimp cocktail; and fresh clam chowder. But don’t fill up on appetizers because there’s more of the menu to tackle. The menu offers a list of sandwiches sure to make anyone’s mouth water. The wood-spit roasted chicken salad sandwich served on crispy French bread, the “You don’t have to go to Texas” brisket and the Po-Boy sandwiches are just a few to look forward to. House specialties at the Boathouse are worth a second visit or maybe even more. The New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp features seven large shrimp in shell sautéed in butter, black pepper and garlic served with bread. The Voodoo Chicken spices things up with hot pepper dipping sauce, black beans, rice and pineapple. The Lotta Lotta Garlic dish serves up chicken with black beans, rice, arugula, pineapple, tomatoes, avocados and feta.
