Sole Mio: Northern Italy meets Music City
Published: Mar 25, 2009
Sole Mio, a family-owned restaurant in the heart of downtown Nashville, serves authentic Italian cuisine that one would expect from an eatery in Northern Italy.
Husband and wife Gaincarlo and Debra Agnoletti met on the Italian Riviera where they opened their first restaurant together. Their move to the Music City resulted in the creation Sole Mio, a restaurant where patrons can enjoy the distinctive culinary flavors of the Adriatic Coast.
Enjoy a meal with friends, family or coworkers in the relaxed but elegant atmosphere of Sole Mio. The restaurant offers a business express lunch during the week that is perfect for anyone working downtown. For evening, a dinner dining experience at Sole Mio is sure to be a special event. Enjoy the combination of an intimate setting in a downtown location.
The menu offers mouthwatering Italian favorites. Begin by choosing a pasta (spaghetti, fettuccini, linguini, fuzilli, penne, cappellini, gnocchi or tortellini) and adding one of Sole Mio’s homemade sauces.
The Mama Rosa is a pesto sauce with a hint of ricotta, cream and fresh tomato sauce blended to perfection. Or, try the Sorrentino, a pomodoro sauce tossed with mozzarella and fresh basil leaves.
The homemade baked entrees include a lasagna al forno with a basciamelle and Bolognese meat sauce, the manicotti (spinach-filled crepes with ricotta, mozzeralla and parmigiano), and the cannelloni.
Try the scaloppine di vitello, a specialty veal dish or the petto di pollo, sliced breast of chicken sauteed in chicken stock or butter with a choice of sauce.
Sole Mio can also host a private party, reception or special event. The restaurant offers menu packages like the Daniela for $35 per person for a three-course dinner. Or chose the Deluxe Package for $60 per person and design a four-course dinner menu for guests.
