SUCH A COOL PLACE!

I have eaten alot of sushi, but wanted to try this place with a "conveyor belt". And it was really cool. We sat at the bar, but you can also sit at tables. Sushi rolls come right past you, along with fried bananas, oranges, dumplings, soda..all kinds of stuff. You pick what you want off of the conveyor belt, and the prices are determined by the color of the plate. Everything was delicious, especially the strawberry roll! loved it! And the young sushi chef was SOO NICE!! HE was my favorite thing about the place!!!!! What a nice guy, always smiling and happy!! Loved this place, will try it again!

My boyfriend and I have been searching around for some good sushi restaurants, and were actually looking specifically for ones with the conveyor belt. When we walked in around lunch time it was a little empty, but that's what we liked about it. Usually at other sushi places around lunch it's hard to find a seat. The sushi was to die for, and the chefs were great! They have a very wide variety of sushi, including ones with strawberries that is a must try. The staff are very nice and the chefs work right in front of you and enjoy checking up on you every once in a while. My boyfriend and I have become regulars at Bodeli and go there atleast twice a week. I would recommend if it is your first time to eat off the conveyor belt, so you can try a little bit of everything, and then eventually just order the rolls that you want. This is a great place for a casual date, or just hanging out with friends. The best prices are around lunch time, and of course it gets a little more expensive at dinner time. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they deliver!! They work with dine-in TN, so if you live in the Brentwood or Franklin area they can deliver to your work/home. Lastly, be sure when you go there to order the "Chito" roll, we've been there so much that they named a roll after my boyfriend, and it's a must try!
Pros: Food, service, atmosphere
Cons: Parking can a little hard

I've been a sushi devotee for over 20 years, having dined in sushi joints in a few Japantowns in NJ, San Franciso, LA and other locales, in addition to Seattle, NYC, Boston, Philly, DC, London, Cambridge (UK), Seoul, Beijing, and of course, Tokyo.
I moved to Nashville last year to take up a new job with Vanderbilt, and thought this would mean the end of my sushi "love affair."
I was truly surprised by what awaited me at Bodeli, a tony sushi place in upscalish section of Franklin. The conveyor belt certainly makes you believe that you are sitting in a budy sushi joint in Tokyo, Seoul or London, but you are right here in Nashville!
Quality of fish was good, the texture of rice was just right, and the courteous sushi chef topped it all.
I am not much of a rolls guy, but I must say the dragon roll I had was really excellent.
I would not say that this is the best ever, but this far exceeded my expectations, and I plan to bring colleagues and friends for a fun - and fulfilling - dining experience.
Keep it up, Bodeli!

I had seen ads for Bodeli Sushi in the clipper & decided I had to check it out. I'm SO glad that we went, it was really cool!
We were immediately seated & given the choice to sit at the bar or one of the generously-sized booths. We chose the latter. Our server tried her hardest to keep our attention while taking our drink orders, but we sat mesmerized, mouths watering, as little white plates with all different kinds of sushi, salads, dumplings etc., each with clear plastic dome-like covers, scooted down a conveyor belt right in front of our faces. We were also offered a menu with appetizers & cooked meals, & a sushi menu, but we were there for revolving experience & were like kids in a candy store. I first grabbed a bowl of the squid salad. OH MY GOODNESS! We only just left a few hours ago & I'm already craving it! We proceeded to try just about everything offered & finished off with some banana tempura. We were also offered dessert, but we had filled ourselves up quite sufficiently & couldnt eat another bite.
Our server & the chefs were very kind, offering new things before putting them up on the belt & also very helpful, describing things we weren't quite sure about.
Not only was the sushi absolutely delicious (some of the best I've ever had, & I've had lots!) but we had a great time eating it & it was very decently priced. The plates had different colored outer rings which designated the price of each plate to a chart on the wall. I think the most expensive plate was $3.00. We were there for dinner too, the lunch prices were much cheaper!
If I had to complain about anything at all, it would be the music. The selection this evening was Brittney Spears, Jessica Simpson & Avril Lavigne (the Christina Aguilera I didn't mind as much.) It wasn't TERRIBLE, but it just wasn't my favorite music ever. To each their own, right?
This will definitely be a regular place for me from now on!

Nice atmosphere, clean, friendly, bar type seating makes for comfortable setting, enjoy the rotation/conveyor belt of selections that pass by. They need more variety. Reasonable prices too.
