Customer Reviews

Love the Nissan; mediocre service
Reviewed by 4mer1N3 on 2009-03-20T13:16:21Z

The sales process was slightly above average. I still had to haggle back in the finance office, and the lady back there seemed a little snobbish. When I picked up the vehicle, it was night time, and I didn't notice until the next day that the guys who waxed the car didn't buff it properly, leaving hairline swirly scratches all over it. The service techs are only there M-F until 5:00 p.m., so you pretty much have to take off from work to get anything done. Kinda pitiful.

Pros: They weren't seedy and gave me a better price than Downtown

Cons: Service Dept

New Cars or Race Cars?

I would like to start by telling you of my past job which gives you an idea of my credibility.I use to work for Manheim Nashville, formerly known as Nashville Auto Auction.I have driven every production vehicle with the exception of exotics such as ferrari, lamborghini, and lotus. While working here i also met dealers from around the US.upon visiting this Nissan dealership we were greated at the front door by what seemed to be a young, but generous sales rep.I already knew which model of car i wanted and only wanted to get a qoute that day. When i said this to the rep he laughed in my face and said, assuming that he was the only person that worked around cars," Well, don't ya think you have to test drive a car before you decide?"I figured i would let this go and say nothing besides what can a test drive hurt?Well little did i know.He pulled the car up front and my mother and i hopped in after paper work and he drove out of the lot to a place with less traffic. We switched seats and i became the driver. After putting my seatbelt on i never expected him to say what he did when we were ready to go.We were sitting at the end of a dead end and he said to "kick it."I laughed as i thought this was a joke however he did not. he looked at me calm as ever and said i'm serious.i didn't wait for him to change his mind. The reason for this was to show me the capabilities of the car supposedly because it has the best acceleration of any car in its class. After the test drive he asked how i would go about paying for such an expensive car like i was of a lower class than he. after saying that i would trade my existing car in and pay with cash up front he tried his best saying that making payments would be much better. In other words he was saying "My bonus will be much larger considering all the interest we will make off of you." Needless to say i did not purchase from them and if everyone drove the cars like he told me to then i feel sorry for whoever owns any car test driven from there

Pros: Very "UNIQUE" test drives involving things you wouldn't normally do with a dealerships car

Cons: Very Arrogant dealers

Awful experience

I have had nothing but headaches with this dealership. The actual purchasing process took nearly 4 hours (on a very not busy Monday afternoon) and I could not pick up my car until the next day. Everything was fine with the car except that I noticed that they had estimated that the car (which was coming from another dealership) would have less than 50 miles on it but rather it had nearly 100. I had issues with the financing/titling people which has resulted in even more hassles and headaches. I honestly don't think that anyone knows what they are doing at that dealership and that they are only interested in making the sale and getting their money rather than having a happy customer. I will never again buy a vehicle from this dealership and I am definitely taking it elsewhere to get serviced.

Just okay

I bought a new Altima from this dealer recently and the experience was just okay. The sales people were nice, they weren't too pushy about buying and I was able to get a good price. However, the whole sales process from start to finish took about 5 hours, and this was on a Saturday and they had lots of people working. After we sealed the deal they were to detail my car...which too 2 hours and came back not waxed as promised, and water spots and streaks all over the car. Then on the final walk around I noticed a large 2 inch scratch on the hood that I previously did not notice. The sales manager said he would give me a voucher to have that repaired and just to bring the car back with the note and they would take care of it. When I looked at the voucher they wanted $100 to repair the scratch...on the brand new car that I had not even driven off of the lot yet....please, that's BS! Then I had to bring the car in for service on a Saturday and while it was being services they screwed up my emergency brake then told me they wouldn't be able to fix it because they were all going home in 10 minutes and it would have to wait until Monday... I had to get rather mean with them and they finally took care of it while I was standing there. I have since started getting my car services at Nashville Nissan downtown.

Damaged Part

I am writing this review due to the bad service that I received at Nissan Rivergate. I had taken my 2004 Nissan Altima in for a tune up and also to get service due to a recall on the vehicle. When i got my vehicle back the rearview mirror is now two toned and it wasn't like that before. The service department claims that nothing was done wrong with the vehicle and they will not address the issue nor fix it with out me paying for it. I am completely dissatistified with the service and customer service that I received. I do know that I will not take my vehicle there for service again.
