Photography is a pleasure that has become a passion for me in recent years.
Why, I ask myself on those nights when I slip into bed next to my already-sleeping husband, do I photograph? Why does it consume me so?
A joyfully married woman; a registered nurse by profession; a busy stay-at-home mother of three sons by God’s design; a lover of good books, hot tea (especially chai and herbal), dark chocolate and quiet times with my family; a dabbler in other arts and crafts; an aspiring culinary master; a teacher of children at my home church…all these things serve to describe me. They tell you about those important things and people on whom and with whom I spend most of my waking hours...
But for those hours when I sleep and dream...well, this is what you see in my photography--the things that stir my soul, that inspire my heart, that challenge my mind…
So, in reflecting on the “Why?”, I find the answer to be that, for me, photography is a creative outlet for what is on the inside….something we all need from time to time, eh?
