NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country's biggest breakout star Kane Brown was snubbed at the Country Music Association Awards this year, but he's still going to the awards show on Nov. 14 anyway.
Brown's 2016 self-titled debut album and its deluxe release last year spawned two multi-platinum hits with "Heaven" and "What Ifs."
Brown said he felt like he had a very good year and should have been recognized with a nomination, but ultimately he doesn't have any hurt feelings about it. Still the 25-year-old bi-racial singer from rural Georgia says he feels like an outsider in the industry.
The recently married Brown sounds like a young man who is deeply in love and becoming more confident in his voice on his new album, "Experiment," which drops on Friday.
